    credit card terminal

    In order to process credit card transactions, every business needs a way to ‘capture’ the card information, ideally at the time of the transaction.  Credit card terminals do this while checking the card information against huge databases of information to ensure the transaction is not fraudulent. Online terminals do this online. An online terminal is the same thing as an online gateway.
